Halved GHG emissions since 2005

The Australian red meat industry has more than halved net GHG emissions since 2005.

Net GHG emissions  have reduced by 64.85% over the period 2005 to 2020, and this reduction is larger than any other sector in Australia. The industry is pursuing a carbon neutral target by 2030, meaning net zero GHG emissions from red meat production, feedlot and processing sectors.
