Australian red meat production will not contribute to a global temperature rise

Production of beef and sheepmeat in Australia at current levels will not contribute to a global temperature rise.

Methane released by livestock lasts for 10-12 years, and does not continue to build up in the atmosphere like carbon dioxide. With stable livestock numbers, the amount of methane produced balances the methane that breaks down from the atmosphere.
